i hate every word dpeople miss use, or over use. I can understand people how talk in wierd ways, like this "R u goin 2 teh prty?" becasue that is a form of speech called L33t.
also, people who say in english please, arent necisarily dumb, they might just not understand what u are saying, or take sentences the wrong way.

I'm afraid I must agree with you on this one. People overuse this word and get it's meaning confused to much with the word "newb". It really gets irritating when I see people abusing others over something silly, like accidently d/cing. This is really one of guildwars downfalls, some of it's economy.
I'll say this again, and will keep saying this. Guild Wars is a great game, but about 30% of the community aren't very nice. I don't meen an offence to anyone, as usually people who are reading this, or people who go on forums go on to discuss there ideas, or just general chit chat, and don't meen any offence to the community. About 95% ( in my honest opinion) of forumers are polite players ingame, and are not at all, or very little neusence to other people/ players.
Please feel free the comment on my opinion, but please, No flaming.
Thanks.
Ash.

The "n00b" nonsense, whichever way it's spelled is childish.
For the "Please give me money..." sentiment, it doesn't bother me. I've found a way to have a bit of fun with these people (esp. in Droknar's) I just announce: "FREE MONEY!!! See Ipillu Wupwup in Whitman's Folly."
As for the "LFG, no nubs" - That's easy to deal with, too. Won't see them in any party I'm in.
Funniest one is "LFG Someone invite me to their --- ------- ---- group!" - Not happening, Sparky!

Other then the obvious words, there are a few others that just get annoying like when people find out what the abbreviation stands for then it’s spammed after each sentence. ftw being one of them

I agree. People say no noobs, but what do they know. They don't exactly have a test or anything. I think it's pathetic, the less casual gamer will have a disadvantage simply because he has more things to do than game. Also, he's not gonna get any better without been able to play, is he/she? People overuse the word noob and newb.
Ash.

Anyway, this is a dumb thread. Most of those abbreviations exist because it takes too long to type them while multitasking the game. Why would you keep typing "Looking For Group" 20 times to find a group when all you have to do is type "LFG". Virtually almost everyone knows what it is in the game.
|
You know, pressing enter>up arrow>enter is even quicker. There is no need to retype ANYTHING.

That's not a bad thing!!1one
Well, when used in moderation atleast, I have lots of uses for it, usually ending sarcastic/joking comments ingame with !!1one/!!11eleventy/!!111eleven etc
But yea, !!!111!!11one!!1eleven!!ONE!11 would prolly be taking it over, agreed there.

words?.... most hated for me is the ctrl-click on health bar when i'm monking... what do they think i'm doing...staring at them, not my fault that their health is low and they're miles away from the rest attacking some spellcaster which really doesn't do any dmg the monks can handle.... when i see two health bars dropping and i cast on someone and my monk moves, i abort and cast on the closer one, why? cause by the time i get to the one way in front, they're both dead.

I hate going to the grotto because for some reason it is the hang out for so many people using all the previously described words, and I hate the fact that my feet get stuck to the floor.
the words I hate the most are teh and pwn
really anything that is just as easy/quick to spell correctly

the worst phrase ever is...
"LFR to Dorknurs!! Will pay X"
not only do they completly butcher the name of Droknars Forge but they are getting run there at like lvl 2!!! pathetic...
other bad things include...
"touch me and i'll give u X amount of money" (ok i touched u fag wheres my money! "no u didnt u n00b, no way u touched me")
"WTS Guild w/ Hall and cape" (i certainly hope it doesnt have an members in it)
and the word.... n00b. at least have the decency to spell out Novice if you are going to say something like that to someone...
